Dr. Sila Kurugol

LMI: 2011-2014

I am currently a member of Computational Radiology Lab (CRL) in Radiology Department of Boston Children's Hospital.  I have been a  postdoctoral fellow at Harvard Medical School since 2011. Before joining CRL, I was a member of the Surgical Planning Lab (SPL) and the Lab. of Mathematics in Imaging  (LMI) in Radiology Dept. of Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.

 I obtained my PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Eng. from Northeastern University, Boston, MA where I worked in both Biomedical Imaging and Signal Processing  Lab and Machine Learning and Pattern Recognition Lab. I obtained my MS degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey and my BS degree also in Electrical and Electronics Eng. from Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Turkey.

My research interest include computational and machine learning based model development for medical image analysis and medical imaging applications
