Assistant Professor of Radiology, McGill University
Peter obtained his B.Sc., M.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees from McGill University, Montreal, Canada. His research is broadly based on the development of algorithms for medical image analysis, with a specific emphasis on the geometry and shape of fibrous tissue structure in diffusion MRI data. His research has resulted in applications in both brain and cardiac image analysis.
Since he joined the LMI and PNL and the Harvard Medical School in 2008, he has been working towards developing computational neuroimaging methods designed to investigate abnormalities in neurodevelopment and their potential implications in psychiatric disorders. Among other awards and distinctions, he has received twice a Best Paper/Young Scientist award at the Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention (MICCAI) conference, in 2005 and 2009. Currently he holds a NARSAD Young Investigator award from the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation.
