Arne received his MSc in Medical Computer Science from the University of Heidelberg, Germany, in 2002, and his PhD in Medical Sciences from the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany, in 2008.
Before joining the CRL, Arne was in the Department of Radiology at Brigham and Women's Hospital. He worked for both the Surgical Planning Laboratory and the National Center for Image Guided Therapy developing The SIGN, a workflow-oriented software framework for navigation in image-guided interventions.
At the CRL, Arne continues his work in image-guided therapy. He is involved in several projects in neurosurgical planning, multimodality image fusion and image-guided pediatric surgery.
