Sonia Pujol, Ph.D.
Instructor of Radiology, Harvard Medical School Dr. Pujol received a diploma of Engineer in Physics from the Ecole Nationale Superieure de Physique (ENSPG) and a diploma of specialized Engineer in Computer Science from the Ecole Nationale Superieure d'Informatique et de Mathematiques Appliquees (ENSIMAG) belonging to the Institut National Polytechnique in Grenoble, France. Following her engineering studies she graduated from the University Joseph Fourier in Grenoble, France, with a Master in Fundamental Physics and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering for her work in Computer-Assisted Endovascular Surgery. Dr. Pujol's research focuses on the development and validation of brain mapping technologies, which include computer-assisted neurovascular navigation for brain aneurysm intervention and 3D exploration of the brain white matter connectivity using Diffusion MRI. In parallel with her research activities, Dr Pujol has been developing and delivering a series of Neuroimage analysis workshops at both national and international venues. She has been training more than 700 clinicians and scientists on topics that include 3D visualization, image segmentation and multi-modal image registration.
Dr. Pujol is a member of the Laboratory of Mathematics in
Imaging, the Surgical Planning Laboratory, and is working
within the National Alliance for Medical Image Computing (NA-MIC) and the Neuroimage Analysis Center (NAC).
