Ron Alkalay, Ph.D.
Dr. Alkalay is at the Orthodpedic Biomechanics Laboratory (OBL) at
Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical
School. Together Dr. Westin at LMI, Dr. Alkalay is
developing computational models from MRI to explore the mechanisms
underlying the failure process of vertebral bodies and the
interrelationships between the degeneration of the intervertebral disc
and the change in its mechanical and physiological function.
